Innisfil CAO Jason Reynar heading off to Windsor

He started as town clerk in 2010, now CAO for City of Windsor

A top official at Innisfil Town Hall is heading off to other things.

The Town announced on Tuesday that Chief Administrative Officer Jason Reynar will be leaving the Town of Innisfil to take on the role of CAO for the City of Windsor. His last day will be March 14, while Innisfil Council has selected Dr. George Shaparew to mind the store until a permanent replacement can be appointed.

“Mr. Reynar has played a pivotal role in laying the foundation for us to build a lean, creative, nimble and incredibly successful organization that has led the country in delivering innovative services and solutions for our community. Without a doubt, he will be truly missed,” said Innisfil Mayor Lynn Dollin. “Our focus will be continuing to serve our residents so they have everything they need to navigate the COVID-19 pandemic.”

Reynar started working for the municipality in 2010 as town solicitor and clerk. He was promoted to CAO in 2015 and has overseen a number of projects since. that includes the launching of Innisfil Transit, the opening of the Rizzardo Health and Wellness Centre, and securing a new GO station for the town of Innisfil.
