OPP clock Innisfil driver at more than 200 km/h on Highway 427

An Innisfil driver had to find another way home after Ontario Provincial Police stopped a vehicle travelling more than 100 km/h over the posted speed limit on Highway 427 near Finch Avenue in Toronto.

Police say the radar picked up the vehicle doing 264 km/hr.

The BMW was stopped around 12:30 Thursday morning.

The 26-year-old man was charged with stunt driving.

This means a 14-day vehicle impoundment and a 30-day driver's licence suspension.

He also has a future court date.
