Brampton man charged

A Brampton man is facing trafficking charges after police pulled a vehicle over in Innisfil.

A South Simcoe Police officer was out on patrol when they spotted a vehicle with a license plate violation in the area of 7th Line and 20th Sideroad at about 9:20 p.m. Thursday. Police say the vehicle subsequently began driving at a high rate of speed and was pulled over.

Police say they found some drugs and a stolen piece of identification in the vehicle. A 27-year-old man is facing criminal charges as a result, in addition to highway traffic act charges including driving with an obscured plate and driving under suspension.
