Is The Orillia Opera House Haunted?

Either Way, It's Definitely A Creepy Place At Night

We spent some time after hours in the Orillia Opera House to find out if the rumors are true.

Sitting in the heart of Downtown Orillia, it opened its doors in 1895 and completed repairs in 1917 after it suffered a catastrophic fire in 1915 that destroyed most of the building. Before that, it served as City Hall offices and a local jail among other things.

Rumors have popped up that The Orillia Opera House is haunted and we just had to check it out for ourselves.

Don’t let the (possible) ghosts scare you away from seeing one of the opera house’s fantastic performances though. With Urinetown kicking off on November 7th and over 600 seats, all within 75 feet of the stage, there’s no such thing as “a bad seat” at The Orillia Opera House.
