Barrie Police, OPP, Toronto Police Put Heads Together For Drug Bust

Barrie Police played a part in a bust said to disrupt the flow of drugs from the GTA to Simcoe County.

Investigators focused on the trafficking of cocaine and heroin said to be taking place between the two areas, with police identifying local dealers. The joint forces effort, which started in December, involved the OPP and Toronto Police, and resulted in eight arrests.

The suspects, hailing from Barrie, Springwater, and Toronto, face a combined 30 charges.
