Crikey!
After three days hopping around Oshawa, an escaped kangaroo was captured by Durham Regional police officers on Monday morning.
According to a tweet from police, the kangaroo was spotted around 3 a.m.
"Officers were able to communicate with the kangaroo's handlers and successfully apprehended him at approx. 6 a.m. this morning," according to the tweet from police. "The kangaroo will be checked out by zoo staff but appears uninjured."
The kangaroo was nabbed on Winchester Road, not too far from where it was first spotted on Friday.
The kangaroo was seen several times during the weekend.
It was one of two kangaroos that were in the process of being sent to a zoo in Quebec, and the Oshawa Zoo was a pitstop on the way, when one of animals jumped over the heads of its handlers as it was being removed from a transport truck.
