Suspects sought in series of local property and fuel thefts

Fuel and a snowmobile trailer were stolen

Ontario Provincial Police have released security camera images in the hope of tracking down those responsible for a series of property and fuel thefts in the region.

Police say a lone male filled-and-fled Christmas Day from a gas station on Highway 92 in Springwater Township.

A silver snowmobile trailer was swiped Boxing Day morning from a retailer on Highway 93 in Tay Township. In this case a female was also present.

And early Monday, there was another case of an unpaid fuel-up, at a gas station on County Road 93 in Midland.

The vehicle in each case appears to be a white Acura MDX. The plate number was identified at one scene as CRJK 594.

Anyone with information on these thefts should call the OPP at 1-888-310-1122 or email opp.southern.georgian.bay@opp.ca. Information can also be reported anonymously to Crime Stoppers at ontariocrimestoppers.ca or dial 1-800-222-TIPS (8477).
