Lowe’s Gives Back

Local organizations reap benefits of Canada Heroes campaign

Lowe’s Home Improvement Centres have made a couple of nice donations to local organizations through the company’s Canada Heroes campaign.

Donations were collected at stores through September.

[perfectpullquote align=”full” bordertop=”false” cite=”” link=”” color=”” class=”” size=””]“We are grateful that our employees and customers across the country came together again this year to help people love where they live,” said Jean-Sébastien Lamoureux, Senior Vice-President, Communications, Public Affairs and Compliance at Lowe’s Canada. “With all our corporate stores participating for the first time, our Heroes Campaign extended its support to even more community organizations and projects that our employees feel strongly about.”[/perfectpullquote]

$1.1 million were raised across Canada. Lowe’s matched 50 per cent of funds raised through the in-store campaign, up to a maximum of $2,000 per store. All funds raised in-store, along with matching corporate donations, are being donated to more than 260 community organizations.

Youth Haven is receiving $5,621.57; the local Heart and Stroke Foundation gets $3,980.70 in the Barrie-area. Habitat for Humanity is receiving $5,924.72 from the East Gwillimbury store.
