Major police investigation underway on Dunsmore Lane in Barrie
Part of ongoing OPP investigation in southwestern Ontario
An OPP-led investigation is underway at a home on Dunsmore Lane in Barrie.
“We can confirm that significant enforcement action has taken place on March 9 in Southwestern Ontario, including London, Brantford, Ancaster and Brant County areas as part of an ongoing investigation. Additionally, this investigation has an element in the Barrie, area and residents may have noticed a heavy police presence.”
Barrie Police spokesperson, Peter Leon, told Barrie 360 it is an isolated incident and there is no threat to others in the community. Callers to our newsroom suggested it is a homicide investigation. Leon said it is not.
OPP say they will release details of the investigation in the coming days.
