Man Critically Injured In A Fail To Remain In Bradford

Victim's abandoned pickup truck was found nearby

South Simcoe Police is investigating a fail to remain collision in Bradford that has let a 67 year old man with critical injuries.

Police were called to the area of Drury and Thomas Streets around nine Saturday night for a report of a person struck by a vehicle. Emergency services found an injured man and he was taken to a local hospital then transported to a Toronto trauma centre.

The man’s vehicle was northbound on Drury Street and stopped at a stop sign at Thomas Street. Police say an unknown event took place where the victim wound up outside the vehicle and an unknown person drove the vehicle away causing the victim’s injuries.

The pickup truck was abandoned a short time later at Frederick and Toronto Streets.

The vehicle is a 2015, black Dodge Ram with Ontario licence plate AK42726.

Investigators are trying to determine what occurred and are appealing to witnesses and anyone with security camera footage to contact South Simcoe Police or Crime Stoppers.
