Man with life-threatening injuries following motorcycle crash in Barrie

Motorcycle struck a tree

Barrie police is seeking witnesses to a crash involving a motorcycle that left the 37-year-old male driver with life-threatening injuries.

Police say the motorcycle was eastbound on Blake Street just before 2 a.m. on Sunday when it slammed into a tree.

The rider was taken to Royal Victoria Regional Health Centre and then airlifted to a Toronto trauma centre.

Police spokesman Peter Leon says all factors are being looked at for the cause of the crash including speed.
