Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) executed a search warrant in Essa Township on Thursday and recovered a 2016 Mercedes that they say was stolen from Nottawasaga last year.

As well as seizing the $40,000 vehicle, police say they located 10 grams of cocaine, drug trafficking packaging, scales, and paraphernalia.

A 30-year-old man from Essa Township and a 23-year-old woman from Beeton have been charged with drug trafficking and possession of property obtained by crime over $5,000.

The accused are to appear in court at a later date.
