A soldier at Base Borden is facing sexual assault charges.

The Canadian Forces National Investigation Services (CFNIS) has charged a member of the Canadian Armed Forces with two counts of Sexual Assault, one of Assault, following an incident that was reported to Borden’s Military Police.

“The Canadian Forces National Investigation Services investigates all allegations of sexual assault to their fullest extent,” says CFNIS Acting Commanding Officer Lieutenant-Commander Bryan MacLeod, “and these charges reflect our ongoing perseverance in ensuring any and all offenders are held fully accountable for their actions under the law.”

The Master-Corporal is a member of the Military Personnel Generation Training Group, and will be in front of a Barrie courthouse judge at the end of September.
