A 25-year-old Etobicoke man allegedly had a run-in with a vehicle and a run-in with a building before a run-in with the law in Orillia.
Ontario Provincial Police said two vehicles collided on Highway 12 on Saturday afternoon, but the driver of one of the vehicles did not stop and continued to drive erratically before colliding with a building on Memorial Avenue. The driver was seen fleeing into the building. No injuries were reported from the collision.
When the cops arrived, a man was arrested. Officers conducted a search and said they found Canadian currency and indications of trafficking in cocaine.
The suspect has been charged with fail to stop for an accident, dangerous operation of a vehicle, property obtained by crime under $5,000, and two counts each of failure to comply with a release order and failure to comply with a probation order.
