Molded Precision Components continues face shield donation spree with a stop in Oro-Medonte

Local manufacturer aiming to donate 25,000

On its way to delivering 25,000 face shields across the region, Oro-Medonte-based Molded Precision Components (MPC) has hooked up firefighters in its home town.

Members of MPC were on hand to donate a number of its locally manufactured shields to the Oro-Medonte Fire & Emergency Service.

“We are very appreciative and grateful for the donation from MPC,” said Fire Chief Hugh Murray. “Shield-U face shields are being donated at a good time, and provides a crucial level of safety and comfort for firefighters and emergency services personnel.”

MPC vowed to distribute some 25,000 shields after the local manufacturer retooled to produce this equipment in the early days of the pandemic.
