Ontario is reporting a two-day total of 302 new cases of COVID-19. This number includes the results of Thursday’s report as well as that of Wednesday, as health officials did not provide a report on Canada Day.
On Wednesday, there were 149 lab-confirmed cases of COVID-19 added to the province-wide caseload. Thursday, Public Health Ontario reported 153.
This two-day total also came with another 386 people who have recovered from the virus; 182 on Wednesday and 204 on Thursday. There were eight deaths recorded over the two-day span, four lives lost per day.
To date, the province has run nearly 1.5 million COVID-19 tests and exceeded its testing target of 16,000 daily by a wide margin to get results for both Wednesday and Thursday.
