Nottawasaga OPP Search Warrant Leads to Drug Bust

Police say they seized drugs with a street value of $40,000

Members of the Nottawasaga OPP arrested a male in connection to a drug trafficking investigation.

On December 10, 2021, Nottawasaga OPP executed a search warrant as part of an investigation relating to a suspect allegedly trafficking cocaine in Simcoe County and Muskoka.

A 57-year-old Toronto man was arrested and charged with trafficking, possession of property obtained by crime under $5,000, and four counts of operation while prohibited under the criminal code.

Police seized a quantity of cocaine and crack cocaine with a street value of approximately $40,000. Canadian currency and other drug trafficking paraphernalia were also seized.

The accused has since been released on bail and is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Bradford court next month.
