One donation means one chance to win big as David Busby Centre vies for new van from Great Canadian Giving Challenge

Outreach van has done its duty, time for a new one

The David Busby Centre is hoping you’ll dig deep in the name of a new van as part of the Great Canadian Giving Challenge.

Operating seven days a week, 365 days a year, connecting up to 140 people a night, the Busby Outreach van isn’t just a common sight throughout the downtown and beyond, it’s become a reliable source of hope for those who rely on it.

But the van has seen a lot of mileage in the last three years, and the Busby Centre says it is time to retire the workhorse. That’s where the Giving Challenge comes in.

For the month of June, every dollar you give to the David Busby Centre qualifies them to win $20,000. Every dollar means an entry, so the more you give, the more chances the Busby Centre has to win.

Make your donation through the David Busby website.

In 2019, the fifth annual Great Canadian Giving Challenge saw over 109,000 Canadians donate more than $14-million to over 12,000 charities, representing a 25 percent increase in donations compared to June 2018’s annual Great Canadian Giving Challenge.
