Ontario PC Party expresses “regret” over misleading campaign donation requests disguised as invoices

Party issued statement Thursday apologizing for "invoices" sent to some Ontarians

The Ontario PC Party has issued an apology over misleading campaign donation requests sent out to some folks across the province.

The party issued a statement Thursday morning after it came to light on Wednesday that correspondence was sent out to some, which appeared to be more of an invoice that needs to be paid rather than a request for a donation.

“At no time was it our intention to mislead our valued supporters. We regret that this correspondence was sent to a limited group of supporters by one of our vendors and will not happen again. We apologize for any confusion or frustration this may have caused,” reads the PC party statement.
