Tragic end to search in Angus-area for missing senior

The woman was reported missing by her family on Thursday

UPDATE

Nottawasaga OPP say a 78-year-old female reported missing by her family on Thursday was located in Angus shortly after 10:30 Saturday morning.

Police say paramedics attended the scene and transported the woman to a local hospital were she was later pronounced deceased.

The Nottawasaga Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) would like to thank the public for any tips and information that was shared.

Nottawasaga OPP is searching the Angus area for 78-year-old Jana Klikorka.

Police say she was reported missing by her family around 9 p.m. on Thursday, November 4.

Klikorka has a slim build and is very weak, has grey short hair, and was last seen wearing a black fleece jacket, grey pants, and black shoes.

Klikorka was last seen on foot in Angus around 1:30 p.m. on Thursday, November 4.

Uniform officers along with the OPP Emergency Response Team and the OPP K-9 unit are searching the area.
