Pedestrian struck by a vehicle in Stayner

Police say the victim airlifted with critical injuries

Huronia West OPP is investigating after a pedestrian was struck by a vehicle on Highway 26 near County Road 42 in Stayner.

Police say the eastbound vehicle hit the pedestrian around 2 p.m. on Tuesday.

A 55-year-old from Clearview Township was airlifted to a Toronto trauma centre and remains in critical but stable condition.

The cause of the collision remains under investigation.
