Penetanguishene traffic stop leads to seizure of over $6,000 in drugs

Gravenhurst man facing possession charges

Just over $6000 in cocaine and heroin is off the streets after a bust in Penetanguishene.

Around 11:00 Monday night, an OPP officer pulled over a vehicle for a simple traffic infraction on Thompson Road. Probing a little deeper, the officer says some drugs were found in the vehicle. Heroin and cocaine, along with some drug paraphernalia, were seized. Police estimate the street value at $6,300.

A 30-year-old Gravenhurst man is facing a series of charges including drug possession and driving while under suspension.
