(Video) (Updated) Police release more images of suspect in alleged assault of woman in Barrie

On Friday, Barrie police provided more photos of a suspect in connection with the alleged assault of a woman on Tuesday night in the area of Mayfair Drive near Ardagh Road.

Police said the suspect was described as having what appeared to be mud on him.

Barrie police have obtained surveillance footage of a suspect in connection with an alleged assault that injured a woman.

Police say they responded around 9:30 p.m. Tuesday to a report of a woman who was assaulted by an unknown male as they passed each other on the sidewalk in the area of Mayfair Drive near Ardagh Road.

The woman was taken to the hospital for treatment of a laceration.

The suspect is described as:

  • Male, white
  • Aged early 20s
  • Approximately 6’ tall, thin build
  • Medium length shaggy dark hair
  • Wearing a dark blue hooded sweatshirt with the hood up, dark blue sweatpants, red and white high-top shoes, and a white face covering.

"The suspect discarded the dark clothing seen in the surveillance footage, and was then pictured wearing a white t-shirt, beige pants, and red and white shoes," police stated in a news release late Thursday afternoon.

They added that if this person is seen, do not approach him, and contact police immediately.
