Police investigating sudden death in Orillia, say it is not considered suspicious

46-year-old man found unresponsive behind Atherley Road business Friday morning

Police in Orillia are probing the sudden death of a Severn man.

First responders rushed to an Atherley Road address shortly after 6 a.m. Friday with reports of an unresponsive person behind a business there. County of Simcoe Paramedics and Orillia Fire Department personnel began performing life-saving measures, but the man was declared deceased shortly after.

The man has been identified as 46-year-old James McConnell of Severn Township. The Orillia Crime Unit and Officer of the Chief Coroner are investigating but police say this death is not being considered suspicious.
