Police looking for witnesses after Tiny Township hit and run puts cyclist in hospital

Police believe cyclist was struck by blue Nissan Infiniti

A cyclist is in hospital with serious injuries after a Tiny Township crash and police need help to piece together the events leading to the collision.

County of Simcoe Paramedics were the first on the scene after a passerby found an injured cyclist on County Road 6 just south of Wyevale in Tiny Township just before 9 p.m. Thursday. The OPP were then called in, determining the northbound cyclist was struck from behind by a vehicle. Police say the vehicle may have been a blue 2019-2020 Nissan Infiniti QX60, similar to the one pictured above. Investigators believe it could have damage to its passenger side front headlights, outside rearview mirror, and exterior body trim parts.

Anyone with information on this crash, or may have dashcam video of the incident, is urged to contact the OPP at 1-888-310-1122 or call Crimestoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS.
