Police say Innisfil skydiving death not suspicious in nature

Police investigation continues

The South Simcoe Police Service says the death of a Toronto skydiver in Innisfil is not considered suspicious.

Police and Innisfil Fire and Rescue were called to the area of 10 Sideroad and Line 5 of Innisfil at around 12:30 p.m. Thursday, by a local skydiving club that had lost one of its members. Four jumped from the plane, but only three were accounted for after the fact.

ONE PERSON DEAD FOLLOWING SKYDIVING INCIDENT IN INNISFIL

The body of the 29-year-old man was located in a farmer’s field Thursday afternoon.

While his death is not being considered suspicious, the police investigation into the circumstances leading to his death continues.
