UPDATE: Police Done Going Through All the Stolen Goods After Shutting Down B&E Spree
Suspect May Have Been Behind At Least Eight Break and Enters

The Barrie Police Service has finished cataloging the stolen goods recovered following a recent B&E arrest. Images of the goods have been posted to the police service’s Facebook page, hoping someone will recognize their possessions and get in touch.
Jan. 15th:
A sharp eyed citizen helped put the kaibosh on a suspected crime spree in Barrie.
This person was walking the pet on Murray St. in Barrie Sunday evening, when they spied someone running from the rear of a nearby home. Police were called, and the canine unit came out. A suspect was tracked down in the area of Bayview and Little shortly after.
The 31-year-old man was arrested and charged on the spot. A search of his home allegedly turned up a significant amount fo stolen material, including jewellery, coins and family heirlooms. Police suspect the ill gotten items, along with possessions already sold, were the result of at least eight break and enters across the city since November of last year.
Police are still itemizing all the recovered items, and hope to be able to reunite them with rightful owners as soon as possible.
