Pride Festival Date In Barrie Locked Down
Downtown Celebration Capping Off Two Weeks of Pride
Fierté Simcoe Pride is handling this year’s Barrie Pride Festival, saying it will cap off a county-wide celebration.
The LGBTQ+ organization says it has just received notice from Barrie City Hall approving a request to hold a festival in town on August 11th, the final day of Pride festivities across Simcoe County. “It will be our way of ending off the two weeks of festivities across the county.” says Brandon Rhéal Amyot, FSP’s President. “We’re very excited to work with the Barrie sub-committee, which is a community-led committee that will be organizing these festivities.”
