Barrie Police say 52-year-old Robert Ladouceur has been arrested and is in custody, confirming on social media Saturday night.
The man was arrested in front of the Beer Store location on Midland Avenue in Midland with the assistance of Ontario Provincial Police

After a brief pursuit, police boxed in Ladoceur's 2013 Dodge Avenger, leading to his subsequent arrest.
The police presence remained in the area for nearly five hours, clearing at approximately 3:19 a.m. Sunday.
Investigators put up a white forensics tent in the area of the investigation off Anne Street South in Barrie, but that remains the only change to the crime scene from day four.
Yellow crime scene tape is still highly visible blocking off nearly half an acre of land in the area.

Barrie Police have named their primary suspect in regards to the ongoing investigation in the area of Anne Street, John Street, and Victoria Street in Barrie.
Robert Ladoceur, a 52-year-old man is wanted for the unauthorized possession of a firearm. He is believed to be present in Barrie or its surrounding area.

Detectives from Barrie Police's major crime unit assisting in the investigation believe he is in possession of a firearm and should be considered armed and dangerous. Investigative services also provided additional resources
Police say that he shouldn't be approached, and that anyone with information regarding his whereabouts should call 911 or Crime Stoppers.
He is also thought to be in the company of a female.

INVESTIGATION
The investigation is continuing from a wooded area adjacent to the Barrie Food Bank, and is now into day three.
It revolves around an encampment located between Anne Street South, John Street, and Victoria Street in Barrie. Police remain relatively quiet about the roots of the investigation, despite nearly a whole city block being taped off for it.
Barrie Police's tactical support unit is also visible, blocking access to Victoria Street at Anne Street South. Its mobile command post is set up nearby.
At least six total police vehicles surrounded the cordoned off area. Investigators in suits as well as those from the forensic identification unit are also present.
An estimated 40 community members live in the area, and representatives from the Busby Centre are on-site to provide aid.
The blockages haven't affected local businesses in the area, which remain open and operational.
