There will be ads on the radio, television, in newspapers and on digital media platforms as the Ford government tries to separate fact from fiction when it comes to COVID-19.
The public awareness campaign is also about trying to stop the spread of the illness.
There have been online search ads advising the public since January.
The campaign is being expanded to inform the public about the latest advice from Ontario’s Medical Officer of Health, such as avoiding large gatherings, travel restrictions, tips for seniors, parents and caregivers, and how to recognize the symptoms of COVID-19.
Premier Doug Ford said the number one way we can combat the spread of this virus is to communicate directly with individuals, families and businesses.
The campaign will be updated as the situation evolves.
