Province to reopen DriveTest centres as of Tuesday

You can book your G2 road test soon

Better start brushing up on your driving skills, because you can soon book a G2 road test.

The Government of Ontario says it will begin reopening DriveTest centres across the province as of Tuesday, August 4. Ontarians will be able to book a G2 road test, as well as class M2 and M motorcycle road tests. Commercial driver road tests will expand to 32 DriveTest locations across Ontario as well.

“As we continue to reopen our economy, resuming driver testing is another way our government is helping people get back to work,” said Caroline Mulroney, Minister of Transportation. “We are phasing-in these services to ensure important health and safety measures are in place at all DriveTest centres and our staff and customers are fully protected.”

All driver licensing services previously offered will continue, including knowledge tests and driver’s license exchanges, will continue on a first-come, first-served based.
