Provincial COVID-19 caseload surpasses 16,000 while the number of recoveries continues to grow daily

Number of people recovered nearly double the amount reported yesterday

There are 421 new cases of COVID-19 confirmed by Public Health Ontario today, as the province-wide case count surpasses 16,000 to reach 16,608.

This includes 10,825 recoveries, 640 more people than yesterday, and 65.2% of all cases.

However, 125 more lives were lost, 1,121 to date.

There are over 11,975 test results pending, after over 16,500 tests were run Wednesday. To date, 294,054 tests have been run by the province.
