RVH accepting “Butt Ballad” contest song and poem entries for Colorectal Cancer Awareness Month

March is Colorectal Cancer Awareness month and RVH is hosting a contest for songwriters

By Graham Whittaker

Royal Victoria Regional Health Centre is hosting a “Butt Ballad” contest in honour of Colorectal Cancer Awareness Month.

Until March 27th, RVH will be accepting song or poem entries about colorectal cancer screening. Prizes will be awarded for the best entries, including two prize packages valued at $400, and the winners will be announced in April.

There is no limit on how many submissions one person can make, so feel free to write as many ballads as you can.

While cheeky creativity is encouraged, please keep it clean. RVH will not be accepting entries with profane or vulgar content.

Send your submissions to contests@rvh.on.ca.

Nine out of 10 colon cancers can be cured if found early. People between the ages of 50 and 74 should be screened every two years. If you have a family history of colorectal cancer, you should get screened earlier
