Saturday marked six straight days in which new COVID-19 infections in Ontario have remained below 100

Recoveries continued to outpace new cases

The positive trend continues with only 70 new cases of COVID-19 reported in Ontario on Saturday. This marks the sixth consecutive day in which new infections have remained below 100. The province reported 88 cases of the virus on Friday.

Figures from Saturday show recoveries outpaced new cases again, while more than 26,000 tests were processed in the past 24 hours.

Province-wide, 29 of Ontario’s 34 public health units reported five or fewer cases with 15 of them reporting no new case. There are 53 people infected with COVID-19 who are receiving treatment at Ontario hospitals, as hospitalizations and ICU admissions continue to decline.
