Service Barrie to offer full walk-in services by September 8

Services were available by appointment only since mid-July

Service Barrie is expanding its options as it eases through the COVID-19 pandemic.

Starting September 8, Service Barrie will have the capacity to offer full walk-in services, including garbage tags, parking passes, building permit payments, along with picking up recycling boxes or paying parking tickets. Those services such as business or marriage licenses and document commissioning will require an appointment and will only be available Tuesdays or Thursdays. Call Service Barrie at (705726-4242.

Service Barrie reopened in mid-July, but with limitations; some services were available by appointment only. With the expanded services available as of next Tuesday, members of the public will be expected to sign in and out of the building as a means of contact tracing. Capacity limits will be monitored and may require a wait outside.

Everyone entering Barrie City Hall is required to wear a face mask.
