Severn Township expands in-person services by appointment

Severn Township Mayor encourages residents to continue to use contactless options

The Administration Office in Severn Township will reopen July 27 for in-person services only.

Residents must book an appointment and can call 705-325-2315 or email staff on weekends from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

To support construction in Severn, the Township has been offering in-person building services since late May. Starting Monday, all municipal services will be available in person, by appointment only.

Safety measures are in place to protect visitors and staff. Visitors must:

  • wear a face covering such as a mask, bandana or scarf that covers the nose, mouth and chin
  • screen for symptoms of COVID-19
  • sanitize hands
  • keep at least two metres from others

Enhanced cleaning and protective shields also ensure a safe public space.

The public has several options to safely access municipal services, including the drop box available outside the Administration Centre.

“We encourage residents to continue to use contactless options,” said Mayor Mike Burkett. “For example, online or telephone banking, pre-authorized payments, and a cheque by mail or drop box are alternatives to paying a bill in person.”
