The Public Health Agency of Canada says the outbreak is linked to a brand of sausages under a recall notice. Filicetti-brand Italian Style mild, dry, cured sausages have been identified as the source, with a recall of the product issued by the public health body.
Individuals became sick between May and September, according to Public Health Canada, while only one required hospitalization.
