Slight jump in COVID-19 cases in Ontario on Sunday

Recoveries from the virus close in on 22,000

There has been a slight increase in the number of COVID-19 cases in the province from 24 hours ago.

On Sunday, the caseload count was reported to be 326, a rise from the 323 reported one day prior.

The provincial total is 27,859.

There were 19 more deaths from the virus.

The number of completed tests was 17,014 on Sunday, down from the over 20,000 conducted the day before, but still the fourth day in a row the daily target topped 16,000.

781 people are in hospital with COVID-19, with 118 patients in intensive care units and 90 on ventilators.

21,810 people have recovered from the virus.
