Snowmobilers Warned To Stay Off Waterway Ice And Closed OFSC Trails

OPP have already investigated one snowmobile fatality this month.

This mild spell is a cause for worry.

OPP is urging snowmobile riders–no matter where you are in the province–to not even chance heading out on to a frozen waterway.

They say all ice is unsafe.

Police and the Ontario Federation of Snowmobile Clubs is also warning snowmobilers to stay off closed OFSC trails.

OPP say they have already  investigated one snowmobile fatality so far this month.

There are some limited sledding opportunities in northern Ontario, with an emphasis on limited, around Sault Ste Marie, Sudbury and Timmins.
