South Simcoe Police Lay Separate Impaired Driving Charges
South Simcoe Police say they have laid separate charges regarding impaired driving.
In the first occurrence, police were contacted by a citizen reporting an erratic driver travelling southbound on Yonge Street in Bradford.
On Christmas Eve, around 3:45 p.m., officers say they located the vehicle in a plaza near Yonge and 8th Line, arrested the driver, and seized what is suspected to be fentanyl.
A 39-year-old Angus man has been charged with operation while impaired, dangerous operation, and possession of drugs.
He was released with a future court day.
On December 23, officers say they received a call around 11:30 p.m., about a vehicle that drove onto the front lawn of a home in the 25th Sideroad and Leslie Drive area in Innisfil.
The driver and passengers were not injured.
A 22-year-old Innisfil man was charged with operation while impaired, and dangerous operation.
He was released and is scheduled for a future court date.
