Structure fire in Oro Medonte causes $250,000 damage
Embers from wood stove ignites blaze
Fire crews knocked down a mid morning blaze at a building on the north side of Highway 11 at Line 5. Oro Medonte Fire Chief Hugh Murray says there is a home on the property but the blaze was confined to garage that stored wood. Another nearby building sustained smoke damage.
The fire is believed to have been sparked by embers from a wood stove that was outside. No injuries were reported.
