You can help support the new Elmvale Food Bank and check out a dream car at the same time.
Local car enthusiast and YouTube vlogger, Viperghini is partnering with Elmvale Foodland to collect food and monetary donations for the Elmvale food bank.
The Lamborghini will be parked out front of the Elmvale Foodland on Nov. 21, from 10 am until 2 pm.
Organizers are hoping to fill the car with donations for those in need as we enter the busy Christmas season.
Hydro One helps out the new Elmvale Food Bank
Earlier this month, Hydro One offered a donation to connect power to the new food bank.
Springwater Mayor Don Allen said the donation, which was made through Hydro One’s community investment program, will help ensure that the most vulnerable people in the community will not go hungry.
"It is partnerships like this that build, strengthen and energize our community," said Allen in a statement.
“The Board of Directors and volunteers of Elmvale & District Food Bank wishes to thank Hydro One for their support in donating the costs of connecting the power to our new building,” said Dave Don, Vice President, Board of Directors of Elmvale & District Food Bank. "Our new home is being built by the commitment of our community partners."
Spencer Gill, Vice President, Customer Service, Hydro One said they are seeing that food insecurity is becoming more prevalent across the province.
"Hydro One is finding new ways to give back to the communities where we work and live and address the challenges many families are facing,” said Gill.
“By energizing the Elmvale & District Food Bank, we are able to support the charitable organizations making a lasting difference and building a better and brighter future.”
