A suspect in a residential break-in and theft in Orillia has been arrested, but the stolen goods were not where he told police they were stashed.
The home, on Maple Drive, was broken into late on the morning of July 31. Police say a quantity of jewellery was taken.
When he was arrested on August 4 police say he told them they would find the jewellery near the trail behind the Leacock Museum. Nothing was found.
Anyone with information is asked to call police at 1-888-310-1122 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477).
