RVH and McHappy Day

It was all smiles today at the Bayfield McDonald's with personalities from Rock 95 joining other community members to celebrate McHappy Day. This year marks the 26th McHappy day which raises money for the Ronald McDonald House and other local initiatives.

Owner and operators of McDonald's Glenn and Trevor McKee were happily on location blowing up balloons and helping put orders together along with Janice Skot (president and CEO, RVH), Charlotte Wallis (1st vice chair, RVH Board of Directors), and Eric Dean (CEO, RVH Foundation).

McDonald's in our community have raised over $126,000 in the last five years in support of the Simcoe Muskoka Regional Child and Youth Mental Health Program at RVH and more recently, including this year, the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU).

Nationally, this one-day fundraising event has raised over $66 million dollars at more than 1,400 McDonald's across the country since 1977, supporting the Ronald McDonald House and countless local organizations like the RVH.

If your reading this on May 8th, you can head over to any McDonald's in Barrie and help show your support. $1 from the sale of every Big Mac, Happy Meal, and hot McCafe beverage will be donated to RVH's NICU and Ronald McDonald House Toronto!
