Police Looking into Separate Vehicle Thefts

Looks like thieves are targeting vehicles around Innisfil.

First up, South Simcoe Police say a trailer was stolen from a commercial property in the area of Highway 400 and 9th Line. The company discovered the theft at the start of the workday Friday, but found the trailer was stolen as early as January 2nd. Security cameras show a large truck entering around 12:30 that morning.

Meanwhile, a vehicle was stolen from the parking lot of Cookstown outlet mall Thursday evening. The owner told police he parked his 2015 BMW in the lot around 6:00 that evening, and returned three hours later to find it gone. Investigation shows it was driven out of the lot around 6:30.
