Some keen eyes on an Orillia OPP officer have led to drug trafficking charges laid.
An officer was on patrol in the area of Canice Street in Orillia at around 1 a.m. March 28, when they spied a parked car with people inside. The officer spoke with the occupants and say they spied some alcohol and cannabis in the vehicle. The driver and two passengers were arrested and police say cocaine, heroin, meth, xanax, oxycodone and illegal cannabis were found in the vehicle.
Two people from Orillia, aged 17 and 20, as well as an 18-year-old suspect from Phelpston now face 16 criminal charges including trafficking and possession of stolen property. All three are expected in Orillia court in June.
