
Two people have been charged after South Simcoe Police (SSP) responded shortly after midnight on Monday to a report of a break-in at a property on Thomas Street in Innisfil.
"Police arrived on scene and observed a grey Jaguar with the front passenger window shattered and fingerprint markings on the passenger side door," police said in a news release.
Soon after, officers spotted a Toyota Rav 4 with significant damage to the front end parked on the 9th Line of Innisfil with a female inside the vehicle. Police determined she was wanted on an outstanding warrant for firearms offences in York Region.

When she was arrested, police allege the woman was in possession of methamphetamine.
The 33-year-old from Mississauga was charged with:
- Break and enter place - intent to commit indictable offence x 2
- Mischief under $5000 x 3
- Possession of stolen property obtained by crime
- Fail to comply with undertaking x2
- Possession of scheduled I - other drugs
As the investigation continued, the SSP canine unit was alerted to another location on the 9th Line of Innisfil where a 31-year-old man from North York was arrested.
Police said he was also wanted by York Regional Police on firearms offences.
The accused has been charged with:
- Fail to comply with release order x 8
- Break and enter place - intent to commit indictable offence x 2
- Mischief under $5000
- Possession of stolen property obtained by crime
Both suspects were held pending a bail hearing.
