Vehicle stolen while driver filling up at gas station: South Simcoe Police

A brazen vehicle theft in Bradford.

Around 3:15 Sunday morning, South Simcoe Police were contacted by a man who said he was filling up at a gas station in the area of Bridge and Holland Streets when a male entered the vehicle and drove off at a high rate of speed.

The vehicle collided with a parked vehicle in a neighbouring parking lot and the suspect fled on foot.

Police found him at a home where he was arrested.

The man was later treated in hospital for minor injuries.

A 27-year-old from Newmarket was charged with vehicle theft and dangerous operation of a vehicle.
