Crash instead of splash. Vehicles pulling boats involved in 2 separate crashes in north Simcoe

Southern Georgian Bay OPP (Ontario Provincial Police ) say they investigated two single-vehicle crashes on Saturday on roads in north Simcoe County with drivers looking to launch their vessels for the first time.

"Unfortunately, the launch was not into the lake, and the ensuing crash closed roadways while crews cleared the debris," OPP Central Region posted on Facebook.

Police remind drivers to ensure that their vehicle can pull and stop their trailer and boat safely, and allow extra time and distance to stop safely.

OPP did not say whether any charges were laid as a result of the collisions.
