Vehicle’s rear window shattered by BB pellet, Alliston man facing charges

An Alliston man is facing a few charges after police say a vehicle’s window was shot in using a BB gun.

Nottawasaga OPP officers were called to the rear parking lot of the Alliston Mills Shopping Centre near Highway 89 and King Street on Saturday, May 8. A vehicle owner reported the rear driver’s side window had been shattered with what appeared to be a BB pellet. Police asked around and were able to get a description of a suspect.

On Thursday afternoon, police went to a Paris Street home and took a 62-year-old man into custody. He faces charges including mischief, using an imitation firearm in an offence, and possession of an imitation firearm for a dangerous purpose. He will be in Bradford court in early June.
